4AD is pleased to have partnered with New York football-inspired brand Fullkitwnkrs for a football merchandise capsule, the Complicated Opposition collection — reimagining some of the label’s iconic albums and artists through the language of football shirts and terrace culture. The capsule features three hero pieces: the Cocteau Twins Heaven or Las Vegas Scotland Jersey, the Scott Walker Bish Bosch USA Jersey, and the Colourbox x Air Miami Scarf (arriving alongside the new Complicated Opposition double A-side single featuring alternative football anthems by both artists, released May 22) which will be sent as a competition prize to one person who buys an item from the capsule at random.

As part of the campaign, 4AD will also be making a donation to War Child — supporting children affected by war through education, protection, and advocacy to create lasting global change.

The Cocteau Twins Heaven or Las Vegas Scotland Jersey draws inspiration from the dreamlike palette and atmosphere of the band’s landmark 1990 album, also recognizing the band’s origins in Grangemouth and celebrating Scotland’s first trip to the World Cup in 28 years. Designed as a surreal reinterpretation of Scottish national team iconography, the jersey merges classic football detailing and references pulled directly from the visual world surrounding Heaven or Las Vegas. This includes a special tartan pattern featuring colors sourced from the Heaven or Las Vegas artwork and a woven badge featuring the iconic Cocteau Twins ‘Lily Dancer’ logo.
